I’m a music artist, an entrepreneur and a man of Integrity. I started recording in 2006 when l was in Grade 7 in Chitungwiza
What is proudest achievement?
Getting my Bcom Accounting degree.
Who did yo look up to when you started your music career?
I looked up to Maskiri and Nasty tricks when l started.
What impact have they had on your career?
They inspired me to have confidence in my Shona raps during a period where it was not considered cool to rap in vernac.
What do you hope people will take away from listening to your music?
Life lessons, inspiration and l also try to promote entrepreneurship in some of my tracks.
As an artist what is the most important thing for you when making a track?
I like an environment with positive energy and less distractions.
Which one of your songs is your favourite?
I have a song called Tambatione, it’s my favourite because it’s the song that made me discover my primary sound.
Where in the world do you wish to perform one day?
I would like to perform in many other African countries and be able to inspire people through my music.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Life has taught me to be the master of my own destiny because everything starts in the mind.
Which song would you say is the soundtrack to your life right now?
I don’t really listen to a lot of music but the sound track of my life for the past 5 to 6 years is money trees by Kendrick Lamar.
What can we expect from you in 2018?
In 2018 expect more releases from me. You will be the judge on whether they are classics or not.
Who are your top artists right now local and international?
In Zim Takura is killing it Music, Brand and Business wise. Internationally l would say Cassper Nyovest is doing the most.
If you could give up anything for a year what would it be and why?
I would give up studying lol, but l can’t because it has become a necessity in my life.
What is your favourite thing about being Zimbabwean?
The ability to adapt in any environment and be the best. This because of what we went through as a nation and we had to learn to survive the hard way.
How would you like to be remembered?
I would like to be remembered for my character, personality and the values l uphold.
What advice would you give to upcoming young artists?
Invest in yourself before anyone invests in you.
