My name is Tapuwa Mhlanga, I am mother and a wife. I am in partnership with a Network Marketing company that has global present in 160 countries. The company name is Forever Living Products to be precise. I am a goal getter.
How did you get into network marketing and what made you choose Forever?
It wasn’t a conscious decision for me to partner with Forever, I had just given birth and needed a way to get rid of the baby fat and I wanted to do it in a natural way as well as to complement the gym I had to take natural supplements.
What has been the recipe to your success so far?
I attribute this success to consistency as the great Dwayne Johnson says “The road to success and greatness is always paved with consistent hard work”
What have been the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur?
The highs of being an entrepreneur are:
The growth that I have experienced and continue experiencing is priceless. I have grown in so many areas of my life other than just the money. Seeing people, I help in the business growing and achieving their goals. I have got the liberty to work when and how I want; I get a chance to work from home.
Lows were realising at a later stage that results in this business are not instant. Consistency and doubling efforts DAILY is required as this business is different from any other conventional business.
What is your proudest achievement in life?
Leaving my 8-5 job to work around my family.
Who are the rocks in your life?
My parents, my husband and my sisters.
What are you most passionate about in life?
Empowering other people, especially women.
What is the biggest lesson you have learnt in life so far?
Giving up is NEVER an option, as hard as it may be NO giving up.
Who is your favourite entrepreneur and why?
Mark Zuckerberg because he is young and ambitious like me.
How best do we go about building a generation of entrepreneurs that will help develop Africa?
It starts with the stigma and culture in us Africans of thinking that going to school and getting a job is all that there is in life. We need to educate and empower Africans from a young age about entrepreneurship. If a person is passionate about something they need to follow that dream.
What keeps you motivated during the low moments in your life?
Knowing that nothing lasts forever, everything has its phase, I always look at the outcome not the current situation.
What are you most fond of about being Zimbabwean?
We’re hard working and not afraid of challenges.
Describe a typical day in your life
Wake up for our morning prayer with hubby and son. Exercise and meditate. I follow up with clients and prospects via phone calls, skype or emails. Speak with my mentors and business partners across the world. Attend business meetings. Do live business presentations with new people every day. In the evening I spend quality time with family. To close off my day I plan my tomorrow the night before, depending on today’s outcome and activities.

I want to be remembered as someone who inspired, uplifted people and restored hope in their lives.

Go for it, JUST DO IT just like Nike because your future self will thank you.
