Yvette Ratshikhopha is a 27-year-old Consulting strategist, Entrepreneur and Life coach from Limpopo, South Africa. She loves helping others become a better version of themselves.

How did you get to be a life coach?
It’s something that I was already doing, mentoring and all that and when I found out you could do a course in and do it for a living I knew it was one of the things I was meant to be doing.

What else do you do besides being a life coach?
I run my own business development agency, I have been an entrepreneur for 3 years and I just registered an NPO so that is going to be an exciting journey.

What have been the highs and lows of your career so far?

The highs are being able to help other people tangibly change their lives through being a life coach and NLP practitioner. Having met someone when their life was falling apart and seeing the pieces come together. Being able to help them move past their emotional traumas and become a better
version of themselves.

The lows are when I don’t have any clients in my business and you have no idea where the money is going to come from. You know you must keep a positive mindset and energy because getting into a negative space will only handicap your business further. Entrepreneurship is tough, and you need a strong mind to get through it.

How did The Global Village Hub come to be and what is its mission?

The vision is to help entrepreneurs in different stages of their business to grow and get where they want to be. Through coaching them on a personal level and offering business support services. I want every entrepreneur who interacts with The Global Village to leave with a successful business that is doing well in the market. I want to have helped them with what could be blocking their success in their own personal development journey. That is the vision and the purpose. To help
entrepreneurs and their businesses.

What do you hope people will get from your coaching?

A better life, a better version of them. Balance and healing.

How do you measure that your coaching has been successful?

By the end of each session the clients are lighter, they have healed from their past hurts and traumas and when they start being on the creative side of their lives and start achieving their personal goals in their different spaces. Nothing beats having someone who came to you suicidal who leaves feeling differently or someone who had no confidence be completely comfortable in their skin.

Who inspires you the most in life?

Anyone that doesn’t give up. And nature… nature keeps on going even though it has different seasons. That’s why I love the outdoors when I am stuck.

What is the one thing that you can’t live without?

Food lol and well Faith. I can’t live without my faith.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a woman who loved through my work and changed the way business and life is done. I hope to shift how people view themselves and life forever.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

“Life is not a process of becoming, it is one about unbecoming, unlearning everything and that is how you create the you that you love.” So, let go of any notions of what you think is you and unravel yourself in joy.

What is the soundtrack to your life?

Silence lol I am not big on music. So, I dwell in silence a lot.

Who can use your life coaching services, do you target specific people?

Anyone who wants to be a better version of themselves, entrepreneurs, single women, married women, people who want to move up in their careers, relationships, personal development, spirituality, people that have goals, but they don’t know where to start. Anyone, Even virtually.

What are you most proud of about being South African?

Our diversity. And our resilience. South Africa is beautiful & has a lot of opportunities for our youth.

What advice would you offer to anyone struggling with something in their life?

Trust the process. Keep working at it and let the divine do the rest. Things will get better. Once you have a desire to change God meets you at every step you take. Keep your thoughts and actions focussed on what you want to achieve & always believe in yourself. That’s the formula.
