What inspired your love for music?
Beyoncé was my number one inspiration, for years I’d watch her and learn her dances, this fuelled my passion for my music.
Which one of your songs is your favourite and why?
I think my favourite is Pree me, this song brought out a really fierce side of me that I didn’t know I had.
What are the biggest lessons that you have learnt in life so far?
Learning to make the most of it because you don’t know tomorrow.
What do you hope your fans get from listening to your music?
A sense of empowerment. I want everyone to believe in their sauce.
Where does the inspiration for your songs come from?
From either a really happy experiences or really sad experiences.
What have been the highlights of your career so far?
Finding people that really believe in me like my manager Daisy, events manager Ola & PR assistant Funlola Also being able to work with quality brands.
The three that I must highlight are:
GT Nailz, who did the cover for my Diamonds artwork and has supported me since.
Shan Slays who came to my rescue for the Burna boy tour and we have honestly become family. She’s always been there for me and really supports my journey.
Chelsie Cosmetics is an excellent eyelashes brand that has also supported my journey.
Where is your favourite venue to perform from?
Probably an outdoor concert stage. That has been my favourite.
Which artists would you like to work with?
Beyoncé, Burna Boy, T-Pain, Chris Brown, Tiwa Savage, Wiz Kid, Aya Nakamua & Franglish.
Who have been your favourite artists/producers to work with?
ATG Musick and M-Fly.
What can we expect from you in 2019?
Don’t want to give too much away but a lot! I’ll be giving you guys a lot!
Who are your role models in music and in life?
My beautiful nephew Israel Williams is one of my biggest inspirations and my sister Ola Williams is one of my biggest role models.
Is there anything you can’t live without?
My phone.
What is your proudest achievement to date?
Probably just believing in myself to pursue my music. That was a big turning point in my life.
Describe a typical day in your life.
After running all my errands for my mum, go to the studio and stay there till late.
What are you most proud of about being Nigerian?
Just how far we have come and how much more united we are.
What advice would you give to all the aspiring young artists out there?
You never know unless you try. Don’t talk about it just do it.
How would you like to be remembered?
As a resilient and talented young lady that went for her dreams and inspired people along the way.
